Has a lot to answer for these days, and from my line of work it's caused a huge serge in young people suffering from mental health issues.
The wife compares herself to her "friends" who post total bollocks about how great their lives are (in reality it isn't) and she often bemoans at the things she doesn't have.
My Question, is there ANYONE on here who doesn't have Social Media? I've recently deleted all my apps and find I never use my phone for anything else other than calls/texts and actually feel quite liberated by it.
On a deeper note, is social media the cause of the rising "hate" speech we seem to be hearing about constantly in the media?

You'll find many websites that require you to accept cookies and "other technologies" to "help improve the service they offer" (not necessarily to you though).
That other technology is in general stealth social media that scrapes all sorts of shit from your phone/computer and prostitutes it to the highest bidder. But, hey! FREE access to the site!!!

Interesting that since Social Media that Fact Check sites have sprung up. A group of people fact checking social media and then telling you whether it is right or wrong.
Future generations will think they are all knowledgeable based on lies.

Facebook is many times worse than WHO.
I'm not a fan of Facebook, but recognise its power. A few years ago I started a group, which now has 100,000+ members. The number of abusive posts aimed at me, usually by people I've never met or communicated with and whose names I've never heard, is staggering. As is their content.

Haven't got any of it. All my mumblings have always been restricted to this site and calling people twats in various languages on a backgammon site.
It REALLY winds me up when something on the news (almost every fucking thing on the BBC news) is accompanied with "it's all over social media"...SO. FUCKING. WHAT.

I have a FB account i set up about 10 yrs ago. I got chatting to a lovely lady in the tube one morning, asked for her number, she told me her name and said to look her up on FB.
So I did.
Turns out she lived in Devon. So that was a waste of time. Barely used it since,

Yes this place, WHO, has to be social media, as it is open for all to see and we are socialising.
I think we should introduce a CUNT button just to make it clear.
However, would this lead to more cuntish behaviour and mental health problems, it’s a worry.
